Today the #flohmarkt team releases flohmarkt 0.20.0. The most important new feature is a opt-out workflow that requires items and user bios to be approved by moderation before going public. Find the full changelog at:

The new process is on per default. You can deactivate it in Administration → Settings → [X] Moderate new items and [X] Moderate user profiles.

Man, is #catawiki a shitty platform. We really should all fight the online culture of #monopolist "services". Just had a very negative experience and my fair and friendly negative review was deleted because the seller asked catawiki to do so.

My idea is to sell prints on there and get paid via paypal since I already have a paypal account. one day I will venture into digital currencies but not today.

today an important cornerstone towards implementing FEP-0837 in #flohmarkt has been finished: i overhauled the backend of the currency system. Each currency now relies on a single global identifier in the form of an URL. We hope for most of these to be URLs to #wikidata entities in the future but of course we did not compromise the ability to have free-form currencies. When a user creates a free-form currency, there will be a URL for that instance.

You can now use a fediverse profile URL anywhere you need to refer to a fedi account, in addition to a handle on #flohmarkt
